Universally Accessible Playground

Assemblyman Tri Ta secured $1M in state budget funding for a new playground and park area that will be inclusive for children of all ages and abilities.

ORANGE COUNTY—Assemblyman Tri Ta is pleased to announce the award of $1M in state budget funding to the Fountain Valley Community Foundation for the construction of the Universally Accessible Playground at the Fountain Valley Sports Park.

“I am so honored to have played a role in obtaining this funding for the Fountain Valley Community Foundation.  This playground will provide opportunities for fun and learning for individuals of all abilities, promote social interaction, and unite the community,” says Assemblyman Ta.  “I’m looking forward to the playground opening so families and friends can make lasting memories together.”

Fountain Valley Mayor Kim Constantine also expressed enthusiasm for the project, stating “we are thrilled that Assemblyman Ta was able to secure this funding on behalf of Fountain Valley.  The Universally Accessible Playground is a fantastic project that will unite our community and allow children of all ages and abilities to play together and learn from each other in an inclusive space.”

Once complete, the Universally Accessible Playground will provide a welcoming and inclusive recreational environment where children with cognitive or physical impairments can play together with sensory-rich amenities in the park.

The Universally Accessible Playground is tentatively scheduled for completion early next year.
